As you may know, the company’s legal department has developed a new and simplified verification procedure, which requires the least amount of documents to be provided and will allow for all of the project’s investors to complete verification promptly.
Verification of all shareholders will be conducted by the specially created Gem4me Custodian Services Ltd. The company owns 49% of shares of Gem4me Investments Plc fund, as well as, has the same amount of shares as the private shareholders of Gem4me Investments Plc do — 1 960 000 shares. Therefore, owning one share of Gem4me Custodian Services Ltd is equal to owning one share of Gem4me Investments Plc fund.
Documents that are Required for Verification
A partner must upload the following documents in his or her Shareholder Cabinet in order to complete the verification:
- A scan of the document that proves one’s identity in color: ALL PAGES OF A PASSPORT or an ID card, including the page depicting one’s residence address. The copies must be translated to English language and uploaded as well.
- The translation is not needed in case the documents are issued in English language originally. However, an additional scan of the translation of the documents must be uploaded in case documents are not issued in English language. The translation must be done by a translator from a translation agency, as well as, must be verified by an official stamp of the translation firm. Translations that are notarized will be accepted as well.
- Partners who don’t have their residence address depicted in their passport will need to upload an additional document confirming one’s residence address (not older than 3 months), as well as, it’s translation to English language. For instance, such a document can be one of the following: a utility bill, a traffic ticket or any other official notice from governmental departments. Cell phone bills or any other bills from private companies will not be accepted.
- In case a partner wants to complete the verification procedure using his or her travel passport, then he or she must upload a scan of the bio-data page, as well as, a document proving one’s residence address (not older than 3 months) and it’s translation to english language.
Attention! Technical upgrades in Shareholder Cabinets are being currently conducted (functionality updates) in order to prepare it for smooth operation in accordance to the new verification procedure. Detailed instructions on how to upload the required documents to the Shareholder Cabinet will be provided once the upgrades are completed. Uploading documents for verification will become available in the Shareholder Cabinet starting April 16 of 2018.
All owners of shares will be enlisted in Gem4me Custodian Services Ltd. electronic Registry of Shareholders once the documents are checked and verified. Moreover, the shareholders will have the ability to receive a certificate proving their ownership of a particular amount of shares.
