Today we celebrate the birthday of Gem4me - exactly 6 years ago our messenger became available to all users.
What have we achieved over the years?
Let's start with the fact that we made a messenger that we adore just like millions of people around the globe. We are very glad that our work and our mission - to provide an opportunity to stay in touch with friends and family in any situation and from anywhere in the world - turned out to be needed and in demand.
We have assembled a team of professionals who are able not only to work according to a predetermined plan, but also to perform tasks that a couple of years ago were beyond their competence. Now we can handle any challenge and we know that we will cope with even the most unexpected situation (in the next issue of the blog we will tell you how we once faced the removal of the messenger from the Google Play store and restored everything without loss in less than a day).
Over these six years, we have written hundreds of thousands of lines of code, found tens of thousands of bugs, created thousands of design options, launched hundreds of cool features and put an infinite amount of soul into this work.
Those of you who follow Gem4me closely know how many new features have been added in recent years: from unlimited video calls and conferences to news articles and a channel directory (with no analogues in any popular messenger!), from broadcasts and comments to call recording and donation systems. And this is just the beginning.
Today we are at the peak of our form and look into the future with optimism. Very soon we will start working on implementation of blog monetization, and at the same time, the speed and convenience of the messenger will improve. As usual, life will surely make its own adjustments and by the end of the year we will release a whole bunch of functionality that we don’t even know about now, but we are ready for any challenges :)
