Today, the next release of our messenger took place, which includes the long-awaited functionality for communities - Gem Space.
The general concept of Gem Space is:
- Spaces are designed to organize highly effective and structured communication of user groups with many common interests and horizontal connections (family, colleagues, friends, clients, fans, etc.);
- group communication is conducted within one space for all users of the group, but is structured according to various chats, channels, video conferences;
- additional tools can be installed in the space to improve the efficiency of individual functions (monetization, voting, business card, etc.).
Thus, any community - a small family or an audience of a large blogger - will be able to get everything they need to conveniently organize any activity they are used to.
In the current release, you already have access to the functionality of creating, editing and deleting spaces, the main group chat and channel, as well as the profile of the space, the ability to invite people to the space and the ability to add / remove chats from the space. This is a basic set, we will expand it, including on the basis of feedback from the first users, focusing on their specific requests and needs.
In addition, in the current release on mobile platforms, the interface of the call will also change, and on Android, autoplay of videos in the gallery and the ability to scroll up by clicking on a section in the bottom navigation menu.
